Monoliths

Master of Alchemy At first listen deceptively simple, while multiple listens reveal how well crafted Monoliths’ music is, being multi-layered with subtle distortions, feedbacks, reverbs and drones. The lead guitar’s painterly approach to building upon the underlying sub-sonic soundscape is particularly welcome. Monoliths is an immersive experience, both hypnotic and meditative, a slow-motion implosion into a gravity-well abyss within your own unconscious mind. I could listen to hours of this. Sweet oblivion. Favorite track: The Omnipresence of Emptiness.

Andy I saw Monoliths at The Northy Arms in Newcastle. They played the album as their set at a volume that was completely out of proportion to the size of the venue. I can highly recommend them for weddings, funerals or to play at your house. Anywhere really. If you can, go see them live and feel their music...
